Story

I started with project management. Then, once I entered the startup world, I realized that growing a company is not just managing projects; it means managing everything at once.

I became a full-stack business developer: even without writing code, I was building products, setting pricing strategy, running marketing campaigns, calculating unit economics and preparing investor decks. More than job titles, I took responsibility for outcomes.

After 12 years, this is where I arrived: Growth is not an accident; it is a system that can be designed.

Today I build this system for only 3 companies, because I work in depth. 3 companies a year. That's all.

Capability Map

Six disciplines, one table.

Depth instead of scores: in each capability my role is to build it end to end, to do the work myself, or to direct the right specialists.

Strategy & Decisions

Deciding with data what to do, and what not to do.

  • Strategic Thinking

    Core

I turn a scattered list of problems into a few clear decisions, and put what we won't do in writing too.

  • Market Research

    Deep

I frame the market and the customer through interviews, data and competitor reading, and turn assumptions into tests.

  • Data Analysis

    Deep

I read cohorts, funnels and unit economics myself, and separate metric inflation from real impact.

  • Brand Positioning

    Broad

I draw the frame for positioning and sharpen the message together with brand teams.

Reviews

Notes from the end of the road.

Notes shared by the teams we worked with at the end of each engagement. The warnings are here as well as the praise.

Through the teams' eyes

“Working with Alp Suleyman, you realize how scattered the problems were actually defined. As the process moves forward, that confusion turns into a simple set of priorities.”
PROCESS & CLARITY

Themes

Not for everyone

From the same notes, honest warnings. Read these if you want fast, easy answers.

  • REQUIRES PATIENCE

The process was more demanding than we thought. It requires patience for anyone expecting quick results.

  • QUESTIONING APPROACH

At first we found him too questioning. Later we understood that this was part of the process.

  • COMFORT ZONE

It brings clarity but also pushes your comfort zone. It may not suit everyone.

  • DEPTH

It may be too deep for those looking for short-term solutions.

  • LAYING FOUNDATIONS

At first it felt like progress was slow, but looking back we realized the foundation was laid there.

Notes from the work

  • MEASUREMENT DESIGN & METRIC HYGIENE
The first job was to clarify not what the metrics 'say' but how accurately they say it. The event/telemetry schema was cleaned up, success criteria were defined, and the playing field was drawn with guardrail metrics. That way we could measure real impact, not metric inflation.
  • SEGMENTATION & TRANSFERABLE INSIGHT
We read experiments through segments, not through the 'average user'. When we saw the same move work differently in different cohorts, instead of generalizing the winners we turned them into transferable insights: which audience, which message/mechanic, through which channel and in which sequence. That tied growth to a repeatable order rather than to luck.
  • CAUSALITY & ECONOMIC READING
We read performance not only through surface metrics like CTR/CVR, but through causality and economics. We addressed impact together with confounding risks (seasonality, creative fatigue, channel mix, content-update effects). Where possible we validated with incrementality logic and chose the levers that truly grow the business instead of 'metric inflation': retention uplift + LTV increase + payback improvement. Experiment design settled into this framework.
