Hybrid Pricing
Pricing that combines a fixed base subscription with usage or outcome tiers. It gives the customer a predictable bill and lets revenue grow as usage grows.

In practice
Bessemer presents hybrid as the model that wins when you are uncertain and calls it an effective middle ground for early-stage startups; do not stretch that scope to everyone. The hard part is how much usage the base fee includes: if the allowance is generous, the fixed fee will not cover the heavy user's cost (our reading). Set the allowance from your own usage distribution, not by instinct. One more caution: in Poyar's 2026 report, companies with hybrid pricing are generally the happiest, yet struggle to explain their pricing to customers; a two-part bill can give up some of the "simple and clear" pricing principle.
