Agent-Ready Product

This site's own framing, not an established term: a product that can be found, tried and used when the user or buyer is an AI agent. It looks for three things: the work the product does is described in a machine-readable way, its core actions can be called through an API or an open protocol such as MCP or A2A, and its price and trial terms can be understood without talking to a person.

In practice

The acquisition channel may be shifting. Menlo Ventures' December 2025 report finds that 27% of AI application spend comes through product-led growth (PLG) motions, against 7% in traditional software. If users already find and try products on their own, the next step is an agent doing it for them (our reading; Menlo makes no such claim). The test: could an agent find your product, try it and get the right job done without writing to your sales team?
